Alta is the first company world wide to offer a full 3" Catback exhaust for the newly designed 2007 Mini Cooper S, aka R56. From experience with other turbocharged cars, bigger is better and a 3" exhaust system for the new turbo MINI makes the most horsepower to the wheels. In initial testing, of the Catback exhaust, we found great solid gains of 10 Wheel HP and 10 ft-lbs of torque. While 10 WHP is very noticeable, the most noticeable thing you will find is that the turbo spools quicker providing roughly 200 RPM quicker spool. This quicker spool means more low end power! Something you might not notice is sound, but for some people sound is really important. This 3" system is designed to be very mellow and appease all types of customers. No loud "farty" Honda sounds here!
